Universities will continue online learning until the beginning of February. This may change depending on the evolution of the pandemic.
In spite of everything, Annecy Universitiy Institute of Technology wishes you all a Happy New Year and hope 2021 will bring you the best in everything you consider doing.
On March 3, 2020, we had the pleasure of welcoming Anita Budisa-Bonneau from North Island College, Canada. She is the second member of NIC to visit in the framework of our new, promising partnership that for the moment encompasses our Bachelor’s Degree ‘International Sales Specialists in Sports’ and probably more degrees in the near future.
She came to present NIC during a USMB meeting where Heads of International from the different faculties were present, together with Laurence Vignollet (Vice President for International Relations) and Emilie Viret-Thasiniphone (in charge of administrative affairs for USMB).
We are very excited about this new partnership and working together!!
On March 3, 2020, we had the pleasure of welcoming Andrew Deceuster from Utah State University, US. He was here to show his interest in one of our English-taught Bachelor’s Degrees (Performance, Sports, Textile and Footwear) and visit our facilities. We discussed broadening the agreement so that more students from both USU and USMB can study abroad, and went on a tour of campus.
We very much look forward to welcoming students from USU – the first one will come in September 2020, a pioneer of a new kind! – and working together over student and staff exchanges.
On January 14, 2020, we had the pleasure of welcoming Geneviève DALLAIRE, from CEGEP La Flèche in Quebec, in order to discuss future cooperation between our Institutions. It was a pleasure having her and meeting her colleagues in the evening. We are planning on welcoming sending abroad students in the framework of internships and semesters, and very much look forward to working together!
On November 4, we had the pleasure of welcoming Robin Tranchant from UQAC (Université du Québec à Chicoutimi, Canada). He informed the students from Annecy Institute of Technology and Polytech Engineering School about the programmes offered to them in different fields (computing, marketing, trade, physics, electrical and mechanical engineering, networking and telecommunications, social work): a wide variety of courses for almost all our students!

From October 14 to October 19, we welcomed over 40 representatives from some 30 universities all around the world (Argentina, Taiwan, Russia, Greece, Spain, Austria, Finland…). Many activities were offered, including for instance presentations to students, a mobility fair, an international Eve, workshops, a boat excursion on Lake Annecy. It was a wonderful opportunity for us to show people around campus, discuss new partnerships and strengthen international relations. We look forward to the next edition in 2020!
On October 17 our students were given the opportunity to hear about possible opportunities to study in the UK thanks to Study Experience. They met the representatives of two British universities and were presented with the programmes available in business, marketing, finance, and computing in a number of universities in Wales, England and New Zealand.
On October 21 our students were able to meet Claire from https://www.boomerangaustralia.com/fr/, who came to tell them about study opportunities in Australian universities, in the fields of business, administration or computing. A wonderful opportunity for our students to travel and learn Down Under…
From the 24th to the 27th of September, the Finnish capital hosted the 31st Annual EAIE Conference and Exhibition. Two of our colleagues attended, met with partners from different universities and representatives from other Higher Education institutions that we would love to cooperate with in the near future. As always, it proved a very enriching and thought-provoking experience.
We’ll attend Barcelona 2020 !
